Venturelli launched his challenge to the conventional world of coffee by concentrating on a young and enterprising market – coffee bags, and brought about a small revolution in methods of preparing coffee. The bag is basically a single cup’s worth of ground, roasted coffee, sealed in a perforated paper bag, ideal for preparation of a perfect espresso. Freshness is guaranteed by storage in a nitrogen atmosphere, package in separate aluminium bags prevents loss of taste. It is an ideal product for use in cafés and restaurants, continuously endeavouring to maintain constant quality – which is so difficult to attain in the fragile coffee industry, influenced by thousands of various and unforeseeable transformations.
For cafés and restaurants Venturelli designed the “Pleasure Menu”, a genuine “coffee menu”, a list of the types of coffee offered by Lucaffé. This ranges from the legendary Jamaica Blue Mountain, one of the rarest and most sought out types of coffee, to selections from Columbia and Mexico, from decaffeinated coffee to coffee made from biologically cultivated barley.
The list also contains an extensive range of teas (prepared using the same method, with a guarantee of the highest quality), and also special fruit tea. However, coffee bags are becoming popular also in households thanks to the special instruments which Lucaffé also offers in its exclusive and elegant range. The unifying factor behind all the products offered by Venturelli’s company is a passion for quality.
Whether it involves bags of ground coffee or whole coffee beans, processing begins always with purchasing (performed by Luca Venturelli in person) ingredients of the highest quality. This is followed by traditional roasting at a low temperature, grinding without heating, careful blending and packaging only in the case that the product has attained the required degree of maturity.
This manner of production applies not only in the case of speciality coffee bags, but also the family blend Mamma Lucia, Vending, Espresso Bar and Mister Exclusive 100% Arabica from Lucaffé, as well as the ranges Caffé dell'Ospite andPiccolo&Dolce. Thorough attention is paid to all products in terms of packaging and image in a range which pleases a whole spectrum of various tastes and requirements.
The product range of Venturelli’s company however is not limited only to coffee. According to family tradition, which has been strengthened as the decades have passed, the company also offers biologically produced extra virgin olive oil from the hills around the town of Benaco. The company maintains the same strict devotion to quality of production also for this product.
